Quite unlike his contemporary Norman Rockwell who liked to paint the happy and innocently comic faces of life,
Edward Hopper was intuitively insightful about the lethargic pathos of life
stemming from the meaningless lassitude...
Even the bright morning glow, which would normally be a metaphor for dawn of the new hope,
becomes a strong language of helpless loneliness and desolation...
just like the current state of mind I'm in...
