Convertibles tend to be two-door sedans compact in size (eg Porsche, BMW, Mercedez... etc), because they are designed to contain the retraction mechanism in the trunk compartment, which is already a bulky and heavy system in itself that sits on the vehicle with or without passengers in the vehicle...
Designing it as four-door sedan will inevitably impose additional drag of extra passengers. Therefore, it must free up the rear passenger space to accomodate retraction mechanism and storage space for retracted top. Especially, if it is a hard-top, not a soft-top, the added weight of the steel plates will make it less attractive, less fuel-efficient, and unnecessarily expensive for its size, value and performamce.
However, Chrysler 200 Converible rather seems to be a good candidate for convertible in the category of medium to full-size cars, carrying on the legacy and tradition of Chrysler's successful line of convertibles such as Le Baron, and Sebring...
