$250K Poor (AKA Shamelessly Selfish & Unscrupulously Greedy)

Wednesdaykid 2011. 3. 7. 10:50

$250K is poverty level? As if it was forced upon them to have a family of 4 sending kids to college?

As if it is mandatory to support their life style at the expense of the society?

How much more selfish can they be?

If they chose to have a family of 4 and want to support that life style,

then make more money one way or another, and don't try to bend the rule for your own sake.

Otherwise, live within your means as the old saying goes,

and don't try to make such an egocentric paradoxical argument.

What does the fact that teachers work 9 months have to do with the overall public education downsizing?

Teachers accordingly make shoe strings and peanuts compared to the Wall St. CEOs,

so clearly their pays hardly burn holes in the federal budget.

It certainly isn't the root cause of the deficit nor at the heart of the problem,

and therefore, wouldn't fix the problem just because they downsize the public education.

Of course, true that some teachers are definitely incompetent.

Less than 25% of NYC highschool grads are college ready, and less than 50% are nationwide.

That clearly is a strong evidence that something is downright wrong with the public education system

 - and especially with the seniority system that makes it hard to weed out the incompetent ones

to make it more efficient and competitive as the private sector

or the public education system of countries like South Korea, Japan or China.

But if they want to demand accountability of the teacher seniority system to reduce deficit,

then they're barking at the wrong tree.

It's a totally separate issue, and if they try to link both,

then they must first demand accountability of the shamelessly selfish

and unscrupulously greedy Wall St. casino capitalists

that put the economy into this shamble in the first place.
